INERGEX GIVE BACK PROGRAM - EVENT RECAP!
The First Annual Inergex Executive Give Back Day held on July 27th was a great success! The participating executives and students found the day to be fun, educational, and enlightening. We had executives from many reputable organizations in the Buffalo area participate including executives from (in no particular order):
- Independent Health
- Fidelis Care
- Rich Products
- Praxair
- Hodgson Russ LLP
- Abbey Mecca & Company
- WGRF-FM 97 Rock
- Buffalo Hearing & Speech
Thank you all for participating and making the first year of this program a tremendous success!
The day consisted of students from The Independence Foundation shadowing their assigned executive in the morning and then attending an afternoon baseball game at the Buffalo Bisons Stadium. Lunch was served in one of the stadium’s party suites where students, student aides, executives, and Inergex and The Independence Foundation representatives gathered to exchange the experiences and activities from the morning.
This program is part of Inergex’s overall Give Back Program initiative where Inergex develops and participates in activities within the local community that help individuals needing extra support live a fulfilled life. The Inergex Executive Give Back Day this year was in cooperation with The Independence Foundation which provides ongoing support and assistance to individuals with physical disabilities so that they may live independent, self-directed lives. It is the Foundation’s goal to provide accessible housing (partnering with People Inc.), employment, social activities, community involvement, and recreation. Partnering with The Independence Foundation helped to make this program a great success.
